VIP, Univ. of Pitt, and Cardinal Maida Academy

A local Vandergrift school, Cardinal Maida Academy, is pursuing a partnership with the Vandergrift Improvement Program and the University of Pittsburgh Mascaro Sustainability Initiative. Cardinal Maida Academy teachers are working to create a curriculum focused on sustainability and green practices to educate their students in the classroom.

In May 2008, the group from the Univ. of Pitt came to Cardinal Maida to do a demonstration and introduction about sustainability and green.

In the summer of 2008, the teachers will be developing the curriculum.

In the fall of 2008, the teachers will begin to educate the students!!
